Are you looking for something funny and light-hearted cartoon shows to keep your kids busy so that you can do your work? Your kids might be watching a lot of stuff online, but you probably want to divert them towards something more meaningful that also teaches life lessons. Well, I have collated a list of top 10 cartoons and animated shows that your kids can enjoy, and if you want, then you can also join them and sob in nostalgia.
No. 1 in the list of top 10 cartoons is Gravity Falls. Gravity Falls is the smartest cartoon on Disney+ blended with various amounts of adventure and humour. If you are a kid or a young adult or a dad or mom of several kids this show is for you.
It is the story of two twins, Dipper and Mabel who go to live in the small town of Gravity Falls with their Uncle Grunkle Stan. This town is full of magic and monsters.
The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Remember that ‘Silly Old Bear’ from your childhood? Pooh bear and his friends are having all the fun in the Hundred Acre Wood, and you can join them on Disney+. A delightful watch for your kids and a nostalgia trip for you.
Adventures of the Gummi Bears
Adventures of the Gummi Bears is a Disney gem. Popular candy Gummi Bear inspired this series. Mini multicoloured bears and Cavin work together to keep peace in their magical kingdom and defeat bad guys. Adorable cuddly bears will become your kids favourite in no time.
Timon & Pumbaa
Hakuna Matata! Lion King spin-off series Timon & Pumbaa was more popular than the Lion King itself during the period of its original telecast. Timon & Pumbaa live in the jungle and get into plenty of troubles. The characters are goofy, and there is a lot of humour.
Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil
Kick Buttowski is one of the best shows in the new lineup of Disney shows. This show is funny and entertaining. Kick Buttowski is an extraordinary kid who wants to become the world’s greatest daredevil. Teens and adults can also enjoy this show because of the action sequences.
Mickey Mouse (Shorts)
There cannot be a top 10 cartoons list without Mickey Mouse. Do we need a reason to watch Mickey Mouse Shorts? Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and everyone that is our favorite and made our childhood memorable is there in this animated series. You can watch it with your kids and live your childhood along with them.
Old Ducktales cartoon series is not available on Disney+ (They might add it later), but the new reboot is also marvellous. There are two seasons for the reboot series. Currently, the only first season is available on Disney+. The animation is different from the original, giving a fresh look to the characters. It still bothers me why Louie, Dewey and Huey have square faces, but that is fine. The show is full of adventures, emotion and suspense. My all-time favourite moment is when Uncle Scrooge swims in his money bin.
Sofia the First
Sofia the First is an adorable show. Sofia, an average girl who is now a princess, handles all situations in a very smart and responsible way. The show teaches kindness, forgiveness, and confidence, among other things. She is wonderful. Your kids will love her, especially your daughter.
Elena of Avalor
A spin-off series originated from Sofia the First, Elena of Avalor features Disney’s first Latin-inspired princess. Elena has to defeat evil sorceress Shuriki and reclaim her family’s throne but ruling a kingdom is not easy. Elena learns many things in her journey and teaches a lot. A feel-good show for kids.
Tangled: The Series
Tangled: The Series features Rapunzel’s adventures after the events of the movie Tangled (2010). She needs to find the secret behind her magical hair. The show is faithful to the source material. Kids will love the light-hearted little stories. That does not mean adults can’t enjoy this show. Writing is intelligent and entertaining enough for parents as well.
