There hasn’t been much progress in the entertainment world since the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. Since now the cases are decreasing there is the hope of everything returning to normal eventually. We have got some good news, so read along.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier can resume production
Falcon and the Winter Soldier can resume production in the Czech Republic from mid-May. Production will have to follow precautionary measures and new rules. Foreign actors and crew members will be tested for coronavirus before leaving their home country.
Once they arrive in Czech republic they will be quarantined and given a second test within 72 hours of arrival. Once the test result comes out as negative then only they will be allowed to resume production of the series. The same rules will be followed by other productions as well.
Although The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek said that they have no projections on when they will start production, as Disney gears up to reopen its Shanghai park later in May we hope that it will soon start its production as well.
Tobey, Andrew and Tom in Spider-verse
There could be a spider-man crossover featuring Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland in 2018’s animated blockbuster Spiderman: Into the spider-verse. Christopher Miller one of the producers tweeted in reply to a fan’s question that they had this idea which was not used in the movie because the studio said it was ‘too soon’.
Taika Waititi will direct the new Star Wars movie
Thor Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is going to direct and co-write the new Star Wars movie. Waititi has directed the season finale of Disney+ Star-Wars series The Mandalorian which was critically-acclaimed. Waititi’s comic timing translates well into these superhero action movies. He gave Thor franchise a different style and now he is also writing and directing next Thor movie, Thor: Love and Thunder which he probably has to finish first before moving to Star Wars. National Treasure 3 and TV Series is in works
Disney+ is expanding its content and with that, The National Treasure Universe is also expanding. Nicols Cages’s National treasure movies are full of adventure and it would be great to see them again on the Big Screen.
In an interview with Collider, producer Jerry Bruckheimer said:
“We’re certainly working on one [National Treasure] for streaming and we’re working on one for the big screen. Hopefully, they’ll both come together and we’ll bring you another National Treasure, but they’re both very active… The one for Disney+ is a much younger cast. It’s the same concept but a young cast. The one for theatrical would be the same cast.”
“The film version is being written right now. The television version is in process. We have a pilot script done and an outline of the future episodes,” He added.
Now if you think those were really big news, we are going to leave you with the biggest one (still a rumour and yet not confirmed) that Henry Cavil might return for a Second Solo Superman Movie.
