MCU Phase 4 movies new release dates announced

The movie industry is hit hard due to the COVID-19 outbreak and we have seen that all the movies have been delayed. Recently The Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) has announced the new release dates for its phase 4 movies.

Black Widow which was supposed to come out on 1st May 2020 was delayed and fans were hoping that Disney might drop the Black Widow (no pun intended) on Disney+ which is the brand new streaming service from Disney. As a huge Marvel fan, I wanted to watch this movie as soon as possible as others. But since this is going to be the first and the last appearance of Natasha Romanoff in the MCU, the movie deserves a theatrical release and we can all agree on that. Given that Marvel Studios has put a stop on all the rumours by announcing a new release date for Black Widow. With the recent announcement, Black Widow will be coming out in theatres on November 6th, 2020. Since the November slot was earlier booked for Eternals, this means that Eternals will now be releasing on February 12, 2021.

MCU movies tell interconnected stories where each movie does affect the events happening in the other movies in MCU Universe. Hence delay in the release of one project pushes back all other planned releases.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier which was supposed to be streaming on Disney+ after the theatrical release of Black Widow is also supposed to be delayed. This will also affect the other shows like Wanda Vision, Hawkeye, Loki etc.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will come out on May 7, 2021, followed by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on November 5, 2021.
Thor 4 aka Thor: Love And Thunder will get a release on February 18, 2022. Black Panther 2 is still on schedule with the release date of May 6, 2022.
The good news is that the MCU Studio has announced Captain Marvel 2 and the movie will hit theatres on July 8, 2022.

Last MCU movie Spiderman: Far From Home came out in July 2019 and it has been 9 months since we got a movie from the Studios and with Black Widow pushed back to November we are not going to get for next 8 months. That is the longest we have waited for a Marvel movie. So, guys, we HAVE TO beat this virus. Please stay safe and stay home.
